Five Easy Pieces (1970)

Well this didn’t really click at all with me. The diner scene is apparently pretty famous, and helped to launch Jack’s career, and I can see why. It’s very well done and really memorable, even though it’s just trying to make a simple order. Actually, Nicholson’s acting is the best part about the movie,  the story itself never really feels like it gets to say anything. It feels more like a showcase of Nicholson’s character’s disconnection and wayward life style, without any type of compelling narrative.
