The Thin Man (1934)

The Thin Man has been on my list for several years and now I’ve finally gotten around watching it, and while it did not live up to the hype, I did like it very much. I got a real kick out of the nonchalant attitude the movie has with people drinking all the time. It’s so very early 20th century. The chemistry between Powell and Loy was absolutely fantastic, they’re so adorable at being happily married yet acting mean at each other at random occasions without actually showing any malice behind their actions. I more or less loved every second of the two of them together on screen. And their dog was darn cute! The mystery itself was a bore, but the comedy more than made up for it.
